Gracious Greece Donkey Table Lamp design draws inspiration from tradition and everyday life on Greek islands and the reliable partners for transportation through the steep, narrow paths of villages; the donkeys. Donkeys have played a very important role in Greece’s past and especially in insular Greece, for transporting goods , as well as, being the main means of personal transportation around the island until less than a century ago. The donkey has been used for carrying olives, grapes, and other domestic products since antiquity; offering an ideal access to traditional narrow paths among the white small Cycladic houses.
