Eirini Karouzaki founded MARITIMUM, the luxury swimwear and resortwear brand in 2018.
Greek-born and raised in Crete, the southern insland of Greece, former athlete of Synchronized Swimming, Eirini spent most of her time wearing swimsuits handcrafted with embellished details.
After moving to Athens, she began courses on Free and Linear design as well as graphic design. In 2015 gradueted from Middlesex univercity in fashion design. During her studies, Eirini was experimenting in various handcrafted techniques such as knitting and embroidery
After a two and a half years of research, she lanched her first collection for ss18, included by luxury swimwear. Maritimumʼs founder and creative director, maintains her Greek origins at the heart of her creative process, blending it with features from her many travels, rich cultural heritage and wide horizon.
Designing with a destination in her mind combined with art and historical references Eirini creating collections with a fresh and a modern touch that a woman can wear from day to night.
