Santorini Blues | Moodboard

The moodboard draws inspiration from the Blues of Santorini, the largest island of a small, circular archipelago and remnant of a volcanic caldera. When you glide through the cobalt waters of the Aegean Sea to reach Santoríni, the crescent-shaped island in Greece’s Cyclades, it’s the thousand-foot cliffs that first come into view. The harmonious relationship with sea, sky, and nature captures the most fleeting highlights into the classic greek blue and white skyline.

Striped in reds and browns and blacks, frosted with the white villages of Fira and Firostefani, Imerovigli and Oia, the traditional architecture of Santorini is similar to that of the other Cyclades, with low-lying whitewashed cubical houses, made of local stone. Predominantly the blues distinguish between the unique simplicity of architecture and absolute minimalism. Brilliant blue domes and the aqua waters of infinity-edged water pools punctuate the tumble of white, thick-walled cave houses. Royal-blue gates, doors, windows and stucco-white railings simply build up a surreal scenery.
