Sophie Deloudi : Retro Geometry
A discreet flirt with the glamorous 50’s and bold 60’s, as well as repetitive lines and geometric patterns, inspire designer Sophie Deloudi for summer 2016 swimwear & beachwear collection. This collection clearly establishes the character of her creations which combine dynamism and elegance with eternal femininity.
Cubistic and op art patterns in color combinations that are based on the principles of elegance, color one‐piece swimsuits and bikinis, but also beachwear that accompany them. Loose skirts, shorts, jumpsuits and robes, all without zipper – as not to limit body and mind – complete the collection alongside with spacious bags for the beach, as well as an early evening cocktail.
Different types of swimsuits, with sharp lines, that underline the charm of female body or embrace it, play with the athletic form that designer loves and the languid mood of summer freedom. A simple bikini stands out due to its bonding, while an austere swimsuit knows how to highlight the silhouette – always in perfect harmony with impeccable stitching and lining. Meanwhile, retro geometric prints make a bold fashion statement.
The approach of colors is based, once again, on the principles of discreet intensity: luminous tones of indigo blue, burning orange and deep plum match perfectly with light lavender, sensual burgundy or khaki‐gray.
Sophie Deloudi studied Fashion Design at the Istituto Marangoni (Milano). Her collection is the result of a literal design concept, which is exceptionally elegant but also easy to wear as well. Its eras’ aura combines classic design heritage of the past with a synchronous point of view.
