Artpeckers Ηeptagon bags collection is inspired by Iresioni, the olive tree branch Greeks were decorating from the end of September until the beginning of October. This branch was decorated with white and red wool, walnuts, chestnuts, almonds, figs and cereals. It was an act that symbolized people’s thanksgiving to the Gods for the past year’s prosperity.
At the end of the day and after singing carols from house to house, they would hang the branch wishing to continue this prosperity and welfare for the year to come as well. This was the tradition of Iresioni, which traveled to Northern Europe where, as the years went by, became what everyone came to know as the Christmas Tree.
In this Artpeckers bag collection the pomegranate seeds and walnut are geometrically posed in unique patterns and colors. Waterproof fabrics and unique prints inspired by Greek culture are creating tote bags and clutches that make an aesthetical and practical propose, with a strap which offer alterative bag holdings.
The tote bag has a vertical strap sewed on both sides, with an opening that lets the wristlet to pass through it, offering a better sense of holding.
The clutch has a handstrap that can either be used as a strap for hand or wristlet. It is horizontally placed on the clutch, so the hand can pass through it and hold it from the bottom side. The strap may be detached from one side and create a knot for a wristlet.
